ラテアート世界大会準優勝をはじめ多くの受賞歴を持つ、Swell Coffee Roasters 代表兼バリスタの尾崎数磨さん。コーヒーとCBDのマッチングに新たな可能性を感じ、HUMACOLOGYとのコラボレーションを受け入れてくれた。

ポップアップが行われたのは、等々力の Peak by Swell Coffee Roasters と、横浜の Swell Coffee Roasters Lab 。カフェの一角にHUMACOLOGYのカラフルなパッケージが並び、CBD オイルを用いたコラボメニューも展開した。

Swell Coffee Roasters は、中目黒の一号店を皮切りに、横浜、碑文谷、等々力へと広がってきた人気コーヒー店。


等々力店は、等々力渓谷のすぐそばに位置し、緑を望む落ち着いた空気が流れる。一方、横浜店は複合型エンタメ施設「アソビル」内にあり、ファミリー層にも親しまれる活気のある立地が特徴だ。

そんな対照的な二つの場所で、コーヒーと CBD が交わる新しい体験が生まれた。


コーヒーと相性のよい “余白”を重んじながら、それぞれの空間のリズムに寄り添うかたちで行われた、ささやかだが印象深い試みだった。

ポップアップの期間中に感じたこと、新レシピの着想、そして CBD とどのように付き合っているか、尾崎さんに話をうかがうと、テンポの良い答えが返ってきた。

Kazuma Ozaki, Representative / Head Barista of Swell Coffee Roasters, is a highly acclaimed coffee professional, with numerous awards to his name, including a runner-up finish at a global latte art competition. Intrigued by the untapped potential between coffee and CBD, he welcomed a collaboration with HUMACOLOGY.

The pop-up took place at two locations: Peak by Swell Coffee Roasters in Todoroki, and Swell Coffee Roasters Lab in Yokohama. HUMACOLOGY’s colorful packaging lined a corner of each café, while original collaboration drinks featuring CBD oil were offered.

Founded with its first store in Nakameguro, Swell Coffee Roasters has since expanded to Yokohama, Himonya, and Todoroki, earning a loyal following along the way.

The Todoroki location sits beside the lush Todoroki Valley, offering a calm, green view and a relaxed atmosphere. In contrast, the Yokohama store is located inside the entertainment complex ASOBUILD, attracting families and displaying a lively, energetic character. In these two contrasting settings, a new meeting point between coffee and CBD quietly emerged.

Respecting the sense of “space” that pairs so well with coffee, this modest yet memorable experiment unfolded in harmony with the rhythm of each location. During the pop-up, we spoke with Ozaki about what he observed, how the new recipes came to life, and how CBD fits into his daily routine. His replies were succinct, honest, and refreshingly paced.

人と人がつながる場所を作りたい Creating a Place Where People Connect

カフェを始めたきっかけを尋ねると、尾崎さんの答えはとてもシンプルだった。
「人と人が繋がる空間を作りたいと思ったから。」
その言葉の通り、Peak には、コーヒーをきっかけに自然と人が集まる柔らかな空気が流れている。

今回のポップアップ企画についても、初めて話を受けたときの印象をこう語る。
「CBDが身近になればいいなと思いました。」
CBDを試した経験もあった尾崎さんにとって、今回の取り組みは「新しいライフスタイルを日常の中に自然に置いてみる」ような感覚だったという。

When asked what inspired him to open a café, Ozaki’s answer was strikingly simple.
“I wanted to create a place where people connect.”

True to his words, Peak carries a gentle atmosphere where people naturally come together through coffee.

Reflecting on the initial proposal for this pop-up, he recalls thinking,
“I hoped CBD could become more familiar to people.”

Having tried CBD before, Ozaki described the collaboration as a way of casually placing a new lifestyle element into everyday life, rather than something overstated or forced.

ストレスと向き合う方法としてのコーヒーとCBD Coffee and CBD as Tools for Managing Stress

バリスタとして、また経営者として日々店に立つ中で、体調管理について聞くと、
「疲れや不調のほとんどはストレスが要因だと思っています。」
と語り、ランニングや趣味に没頭することで心身のバランスを整えてきたという。
そんな尾崎さんは、HUMACOLOGYのCBDオイルを自身でも使ってみて、次のような変化を感じた。
「高揚感を程よく抑えてくれて、緊張対策に良いと感じました。ショートスリーパーな自分ですが、睡眠の質が上がったと感じます。」
摂取のタイミングについては、
「仕事場につき、手洗いと同じ感覚で取っています。」
と、日々のルーティンに自然に組み込んでいる様子が印象的だった。

As both a barista and business owner, Ozaki spends long days on his feet. When asked about how he manages his health, he explains,
“I believe most fatigue and discomfort come from stress.”

Running and immersing himself in hobbies have long helped him maintain balance. After incorporating HUMACOLOGY’s CBD oil into his routine, he noticed subtle but meaningful changes.
“It gently brings down excessive stimulation and helps with tension. I’m a short sleeper, but I feel my sleep quality has improved.”

As for timing, he shares,
“When I arrive at work, I take it almost like washing my hands.”
A small habit seamlessly woven into his daily rhythm.

新レシピ開発 ― エスプレッソ・サンライズとカフェマロッキーノ Developing New Recipes: Espresso Sunrise & Caffè Marocchino

今回のポップアップに向けて、Swell Coffee Roastersの2店舗ではCBDオイルを用いた2種類のスペシャルドリンクが開発された。
ひとつは、オレンジとエスプレッソを合わせた爽やかでビターな エスプレッソ・サンライズ。

もうひとつは、エスプレッソにチョコの甘みとCBDオイルを調和させた カフェマロッキーノ。
尾崎さんはレシピについてこう語る。
「なるべくCBDを違和感なく接種できるよう心がけました。エスプレッソ・サンライズではオレンジの甘さ・酸味にエスプレッソのビター感に、カフェマロッキーノでは、エスプレッソと調和するチョコの甘みの中にフォーミュラNo.1を合わせました。」
CBDの味や香りについては、
「相性が悪いかなと懸念しましたが、うまく調和を取ることができました。」
と、コーヒー職人ならではの丁寧な視点で答えてくれた。

For the pop-up, two special CBD-infused drinks were developed and served exclusively at the two Swell locations.

One was the Espresso Sunrise, a refreshing yet bittersweet combination of orange juice and espresso.

The other was a Caffè Marocchino, blending espresso with chocolate sweetness and CBD oil.

About the recipes, Ozaki explains,
“My priority was to help people consume CBD without discomfort. For the Espresso Sunrise, I balanced the orange’s sweetness and acidity with espresso’s bitterness. For the Marocchino, I paired Formula No.1 with chocolate sweetness that naturally complements espresso.”

Regarding CBD’s aroma and flavor, he admits,
“I was a bit concerned about compatibility at first, but we were able to achieve a good balance.”

A response that reflects a craftsman’s careful sensibility.

お客様の反応 ― アイスが好評、仕事終わりの一杯として Customer Reactions: Iced Drinks and After-Work Moments

ポップアップ期間中、CBD入りドリンクを販売したところ、尾崎さんは次のような反応を受け取ったという。
「やはり馴染みがないので抵抗感を感じているお客様が多い印象でした。」
一方で、興味を持って飲んでくれたお客様からは、
「アイスのエスプレッソ・サンライズが特に好評で、中には、朝に必要なエスプレッソ、オレンジジュース、CBDオイルの全てが一杯の中に詰まっているのが面白い、と話すお客様もいました」
というように、コーヒーとの新しい関わり方を提案する一品となった。
また、特に印象的だったのが、仕事終わりにCBDメニューを求めて来店したお客様だという。
「仕事終わりにこの一杯を、とCBD入りメニューを頼みに来られるお客様が印象的でした。」
ドリンクとしての楽しみだけでなく、「切り替えの一杯」として機能していたのが伝わってくる。

During the pop-up, customer reactions were mixed at first.
“Many customers seemed hesitant since CBD isn’t yet familiar,” Ozaki notes.

However, those who tried the drinks offered memorable feedback.
“The iced Espresso Sunrise was especially popular. Some customers mentioned how interesting it was that espresso, orange juice, and CBD oil—everything they need to start the day—were all contained in a single glass.”

Another particularly striking observation came from customers visiting after work.
“It left an impression when people came in specifically asking for a CBD drink as their post-work cup.”

The beverages weren’t just enjoyable drinks, but served as intentional pauses—a signal to switch gears.

CBD×カフェカルチャーの未来 The Future of CBD in Café Culture

CBDの可能性について尋ねると、尾崎さんはこう語る。
「先入観を取り除ければ、取り入れるお店は増えるのかなと思いました。」
カフェにおけるウェルネスの役割については、
「一瞬落ち着ける大事な時間を作れるのが役割。」
CBDはその中で、
「リラックスを助長してくれる存在。」
と位置づけられるという。
最後に、「良いコーヒーとは？」という問いに対し、
「機械ではなく、人が淹れることでしか作れない会話と時間。」
と語る尾崎さんの言葉が、コーヒーとCBDの両方に通じる大切な視点を象徴していた。

When asked about the future potential of CBD, Ozaki reflects,
“If preconceived notions fade, I think more cafés will adopt it.”

On the role of cafés in wellness, he says,
“Our role is to offer a moment to breathe and reset.”
CBD, in that sense, becomes
“something that gently encourages relaxation.”

Finally, when asked what makes good coffee, Ozaki replies,
“It’s the conversations and time that only people—not machines—can create.”

A sentiment that resonates equally with both coffee and CBD.

また一緒に ― コラボの未来へ Looking Ahead: Continuing the Collaboration

今後のコラボレーションについては、
「やりたいと思います。」
と力強い返答をいただいた。
コーヒーとCBD、クラフトと科学、街と人。
それぞれが交わる場所をつくる試みは、これからも続いていく。

Regarding future collaborations, Ozaki answers without hesitation,
“I’d like to keep doing it.”

Coffee and CBD. Craft and science. City streets and people.
These intersections will continue to take shape—quietly, thoughtfully, and with intention.
