Uncompromising Safety
Keeping THC Below0.0001%

We proudly provide CBD products that you can use with complete confidence in Japan.

HUMACOLOGY’s CBD oil contains less than 0.0001% THC, making it “non-detectable.”

Following the revision of Japan’s Cannabis Control Act in December 2024, any CBD product with THC levels exceeding 10 ppm (0.001%) is subject to regulation. Our oil is tested to ensure THC levels remain less than one-tenth of that legal threshold, delivering an exceptional level of precision and safety.

This THC non-detectable safety has been verified by the National Kapodistrian University of Athens as of April 10, 2025. You can view the full certificate of analysis [link here].

HUMACOLOGY and People

#2 Sonia Yamamoto

A Life in Motion, A Quiet Return to Yourself

山本ソニアさん

Having spent her teenage years in Paris, Sonia Yamamoto now works as a model across shows, magazines, and advertising, while also running an importing business focused on Mediterranean wines and foods.

With a Tunisian father and Japanese mother, and fluency in Japanese, English, and French, her life is defined by movement—between places, cultures, and roles.

This journey took her to a quiet retreat about an hour outside Tokyo.

Sharing time with her mother, Sonia naturally incorporated HUMACOLOGY’s CBD oils into moments of rest—using them not as an intervention, but as a way to gently listen to her body.

We spoke with Sonia about how she cares for her physical and mental balance, how she approaches CBD, and how small, intentional choices shape her daily life.

Walking as a way to restore balance

Asked how she maintains her condition while constantly traveling, Sonia answers without hesitation: walking.

“Walking works as light cardio, but it also helps organize my thoughts. When I’m moving, things seem to fall into place more naturally.”

Food is another important element.
She pays close attention to seasonality, choosing a variety of fruits and vegetables and listening carefully to how her body responds.

“What you put into your body directly affects how you feel. I’m very aware of that.”

Traveling with her mother, time spent in the pool

This trip brought Sonia and her mother to a calm, suburban hotel.
One ritual never changes when they travel together: swimming.

“My mother loves the pool, so wherever we go, we always swim together.”

Having undergone meniscus surgery as a teenager, Sonia finds water-based movement especially kind to her body.

“Swimming and walking in the pool feels gentle on my knees. It’s a moment where everything resets.”

Listening to the body’s signals

When asked what “listening to your body” means to her, Sonia describes it as stepping away from overthinking.

“It’s about paying attention to what’s happening inside, rather than trying to control everything with your head.”

On cold mornings, she starts with something warm to drink, gently stretches to wake her body, and only then considers what to eat.

“I try not to overeat or give my brain more sugar than it actually needs.”

Her approach reflects a quiet awareness—balanced, unforced, and intuitive.

CBD as a way to rest and recalibrate

Sonia was already familiar with CBD before this trip.

“I’ve used it before for jet lag, especially before sleep. I’ve also tried CBD-infused skincare and lip products.”

For her, CBD has always felt like something that helps the body slow down and recalibrate the nervous system.

During this trip, she used HUMACOLOGY’s two formulas in different ways.

Formula No.1 was applied after swimming, gently massaged around her knees when they felt cool.

Formula No.2 became part of her nighttime routine—taken orally before bed, paired with herbal tea and quiet breathing.

Between the everyday and the special

When it comes to choosing between the two formulas, Sonia sees a clear distinction.

“Formula No.1 feels like everyday care—something I use on joints or skin whenever needed.”

Formula No.2, on the other hand, feels more intentional.

“On nights when jet lag lingers or my thoughts won’t settle, I take it orally and focus on my breathing.”

The rhythm feels personal, flexible, and entirely her own.

Choosing, like wine

For someone deeply connected to food and wine, Sonia sees a clear parallel.

“Just like choosing a wine or a dish at a restaurant, CBD lets you choose what you need, when you need it, and how you want to take it.”

There’s no single right answer—only awareness and choice.

A product that adapts to different lives

Asked how HUMACOLOGY fits into modern life, Sonia reflects for a moment.

“Honestly, I think it can adapt to almost any lifestyle.”

She believes its real value lies in creating space to turn inward.

“For people who are constantly engaging with others through work, it can be a tool that helps bring attention back to yourself.”

Ending the day close to nature

When asked what she’d like to try next, Sonia smiles.

“I’d love to spend a day doing something close to nature—farming, ceramics—eating gentle, nourishing food, and then ending the day with HUMACOLOGY’s oil to truly unwind.”

In a life shaped by movement, those moments of stillness become anchors—quietly carrying her forward.
